Hull City are one of five teams interesting in signing Norwich City’s Jacob and Josh Murphy in the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper believes that Hull have joined Crystal Palace, Everton, Swansea and West Brom in chasing the pair’s signatures.

Both players have started the season well in the Norwich first team after periods out on loan in recent years.

Jacob has made six appearances so far this season, scoring four goals, after two appearances in the previous three seasons. Josh has played in five games, scoring twice, after making 28 appearances in two of the previous three seasons.

This has been their breakthrough season so far after having a move away to other clubs to develop in seasons gone by.

Josh has been on loan at Wigan and MK Dons in the last two seasons, while Jacob has been on loan to Swindon Town, Southend United, Blackpool, Scunthorpe United, Colchester United and Coventry City in the last three years.

At least one of the two is known to the club as Josh did feature against Hull last season when on loan at MK Dons, playing twice in a 2-0 win for the Tigers and a later 1-1 draw between the sides.

Their contracts are set to expire next July, meaning that they could be available perhaps at a cut-price or on a pre-contract agreement in January.

However, any early talk of transfers may be premature as with Hull still needing a manager and looking for a takeover, certain people may come up with different transfer targets before another window arrives.
