Jake Livermore has joined West Brom from Hull City for an undisclosed fee, the club has confirmed.

The 27-year-old put pen-to-paper to sign a four-and-a-half year deal at the Hawthorns and become the Baggies’ first signing of the January transfer window.

Livermore made 144 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers throughout a loan spell in 2013-14 which turned into a permanent deal. The former England international played his last game as an 86th-minute substitute in a 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

He scored nine goals, managing to find the net in every season playing for the club, including once in the 2016-17 campaign in a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace in December.

It is the first sale of the window for Hull and is believed to be the most money they have taken from one transfer in the 2016-17 season following the sale of Mo Diame to Newcastle for just £4.5m.
