Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic is one of six players nominated for the Premier League’s February EA Sports Player of the Month award.

Jakupovic joins Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Gareth McAuley (West Brom) and David Silva (Manchester City) among the nominees for the prize.

The ‘keeper spent a whole month in between the sticks in all competitions for the first time during the 2016/17 season after impressing when being brought in under Marco Silva’s leadership in January.

He kept out two teams in successive matches for the first time this season at the beginning of the month.

Jakupovic made a series of great saves in Hull’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, including a goalline save from Juan Mata, before keeping a second clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Liverpool.

He was also called into action in their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal and their 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Voting for the award, which is 10% of the overall decision, takes place on the Premier League website and closes on March 6 at 11.59pm GMT.
