Hull’s latest game in their fight to escape the relegation zone comes as a tough away fixture against Arsenal in London.
The side has not beaten the Gunners in the league since their heroic 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium in 2008 when Giovanni and Daniel Cousin contributed to a great victory but did claim a 2-2 draw in their last trip there in October 2014.
A win for Arsenal in the lunchtime kick-off would move them up to third ahead of Manchester City for a couple of hours at least with 50 points, while they would have to win by six goals to usurp Tottenham and go into second. If Hull were to claim a shock win, they would move onto 23 points and into 15th for at least a few hours.
The away side come into the game on the back of collecting four points against Manchester United and Liverpool and Eldin Jakupovic keeping two clean sheets in goal.
Hull has not kept three consecutive clean sheets in the league since October 2008 in just their seventh, eighth and ninth top-flight matches. The team then secured three consecutive victories after keeping Tottenham, West Ham and West Brom from scoring against them in two 1-0 and one 3-1 victories.
Despite it becoming harder and harder to name a squad due to the options available to Marco Silva, click start below for a potential starting XI to take to the pitch at the Emirates.
16. Eldin Jakupovic
Jakupovic was in goal the last time Hull faced Arsenal at home, losing 4-1 with ten men but he has not conceded in his last 214 minutes in goal in the league.
27. Ahmed Elmohamady
Elmohamady is back from taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations for Egypt and is a possibility at right-back. Marco Silva praised him in his pre-match press conference so could be in his thoughts for selection along with Omar Elabdellaoui.
5. Harry Maguire
Maguire is one of just two senior centre-back options left in the side without injury, but would be likely to be a part of the team even with competition.
13. Andrea Ranocchia
Ranocchia will be depended upon at the back following the news that Michael Dawson will be missing for a few weeks.
3. Andy Robertson
The Scot has now made over 100 appearances for a club for the first time in his career (101).
8. Tom Huddlestone
Another game for Huddlestone, another player praised in Silva’s press conference, would bring up 30 appearances in a season for the fourth consecutive year.
17. Kamil Grosicki
One of Silva’s biggest headaches will involve the right wing position, with Grosicki and Lazar Markovic both available.
He could keep the Polish winger in the same position for continuity, but Markovic did nearly score a winner against United in his last game so could be at least a second-half option from the bench.
10. Alfred N'Diaye
N’Diaye’s strike against Liverpool was his first goal in English football and just the 11th of his 10-season career.
11. Sam Clucas
Clucas has been an ever-present in the side this season and one more game would mark his 25th Premier League appearance.
40. Evandro
Another start would mark the 14th time that Evandro has played five domestic league games in a season for a club.
24. Oumar Niasse
Niasse scored the first Premier League goal of his career against Liverpool and will look to complete a treble of scoring against top-six clubs following his other goal against Man Utd in the EFL Cup.
He would replace last week’s starting striker Abel Hernandez, who will miss up to four weeks with a hamstring injury.
